The main focus of this factsheet is the type of face masks which are used to protect or mitigate the virus transmission risk.
Hand sanitisers can be divided into two broad categories – those which offer some form of biocidal action and those which do not and are merely used to ‘clean’ the hands and perfume or moisturise them.
Protective gloves are gloves which offer the wearer hand and arm protection against one or more risks that they may encounter.
Cycle and climbing helmets are products which offer the wearer head protection against mechanical impact caused by falling or ejected objects, and collisions with an obstacle. They may also provide protection against other risks like cold, UV radiation, low visibility, etc.
TUV sterilisers (also known as UV sanitisers or germicidal lamps) are appliances used to decontaminate surfaces or air from for example SARS-CoV-2, by different techniques.
